my eyeshadow NEVER stays on. in the morning it looks really pretty right after i do it but soon you cant even tell im wearing any. ive used dark colors ive used light colors ive used numerous colors they all fade or wear off. and different brands too. any trick to make it stay on throughout the day ?

Here's what I do.

I put concealer OR foundation on my eyelid. It holds eyeshadow longer. There's "bases" made for eyeshadows to stay on longer.

Makeup artists use a damp makeup brush to apply eyeshadow. From my experience, it works a lot better and comes out brighter or darker. Of course it's not going to stay on forever but it works great for hours.

With cream eyeshadows.. try setting it with a light translucent powder.


A few of my friends have said that a good base is "Urban Decay Primer Potion"

try layering some loose powder and then putting another layer of eyeshadow on top of the loose powder. it helps keep my eyeshadow on better, but it really depends on brand. if the loose powder doesn't work, try experimenting with different brands.
