This is kind of old-school, but check out "Any World I'm Welcome To" by Steely Dan, "Fly By Night" by Rush, and "Solsbury Hill" by Peter Gabriel.

I think I have somthing that may work for you, now this song is instrumental so there is no vocals. Check out the artist named..
"Trentemoeller" and listen to the song called..
"Miss You"
It is a song that I cannot even describe with words, I highly advise you check it out! Best of luck to you and I hope you enjoy it!
