i have sprint but i really want a juicy sidekick .. is it possible for sprint to activate locked phones.. and what about the sim card do i need one or not?
CrayolaJenn210 answered Tuesday January 8 2008, 3:30 am: Hey, I have some unfortunate news/advice however.
Putting in a SIM card from a different phone company - WILL MESS THE PHONE UP. My friend wanted a Sidekick, and he decided to buy one off eBay. He bought it off eBay because like you - he's not a T-Mobile customer. He bought the phone, inserted the card - and.. the phone wasn't working right! The layout of the phone was all messed up, and he ended up having to buy a different phone. You can try, but the Sidekicks are problematic if you do not have T-Mobile as your service provider, because that is the only service it was created to work for.
I hope this was of some assistance, and I'm if it doesn't work out, though maybe you'll have some luck and it might! So in conclusion - best of luck with the phone stuff! (: [ CrayolaJenn210's advice column | Ask CrayolaJenn210 A Question ]
