This is just a random question but how do amateur bloggers (when I say amateur I mean people who don't get payed to blog, people who go to school or have a job and just blog on the side..) stay ahead of the curve when it comes to fashion news?
I mean if you're being payed to blog about this stuff, you have contacts and people you can rely on to keep you informed and maybe spill some inside information but what about bloggers that just do it as a hobby? Where do they get their information from before anyone else?

PASTELLS!" well no duh! its spring! you see what im saying? and last year, i told my mom that nauticals were in for spring. she said, "nauticals have been in for spring every year since the 1980s." for winter- of course thick knit sweaters, hats, gloves, boots, always in.
and this patent leather craze lately- leather gloves, boots, bags, whatever- are classics! a leather bag is always fashionable of course! its a fashion staple! leather is a quality material that will always be popular in the upper classes. look at it this way, and you'll never be surprised at new "trends". missbananafontana answered Sunday January 6 2008, 6:51 pm: Not before anyone else. Believe me, I can be ahead of everybody in fashion if I decided to be trendy. I used to be, and you know how? I read and scruntized Teen Vogue and all those fashion magazines. I could easily predict what was going to be hot. You know how else? Hot or not lists for the new year. The Washington Post lists a new one every year, and I love to read it and watch the trends appear. It's easy. You watch for a little bit, and then make current trends a little different to make them even trendier. Requires dedication and careful attention, but not too hard once you get the hang of it.
