i feel like my hair is so flat. i want my hair to be straight but how do you get it not so flat? i have thick hair. is their a certain way to straighten it?thankss

You could try to use volumising hair products such as shampoos, mousse, gel, hair spray, etc. when you plan to straighten your hair.
However, use these products with caution if you have really thick hair, because you can end up with a straight, bushy look.

try putting mouse on the roots of your hair.
and when you straighten your hair do it in sections. put all of your hair up except for whats on your neck, straighten it. and let down some more hair and straighten that and repeat untill you've gotten to to the top of your head.

also blowdrying your hair when you head is upside down makes your hair have more volume.
