I want to do one of those fasts that detox your body, like a fruit fast or water fast. They're only like 2 days long, but my mom would never go for that, since she doesn't really understand the whole detox thing. What are some good ways to naturally detox and feel the difference? Like without buying books or drinks or anything.

ChevyIINova answered Saturday January 5 2008, 10:52 pm: Speaking from personal experience, when I was in the military I got on this health crazy, since I was in the best shape of my life, running 5 miles a day, doing 1000 crunches in one setting, bench pressing 375, etc... I found that if I ate fruits such as oranges and bananas, I felt energized and strong. I also ate whole grain wheat breads and lean ground beef (for the protein my muscles needed). Your best bet if you want to cleanse your body is with water and electrolytes, such as what's in Gatorade. Only BAD thing is it does contain sugar. If you want a true natural source, I'd stick with bananas and oranges like I did. Your best bet is to exercise too because you might feel tired if not.
