so right now i am facing a dilema that im sure people have had to deal with before. i think part of the reason why its so hard for me is because it is completely my choice and no one is telling me what to do.
[ im 15/f & a freshman in HS]
so last year i made the choice to go to a private school (in the town that i live in & my brother goes there too) and basically leave all of my friends. it was hard but i do it, and i still see my friends a lot on like weekends but its not the same. when i hang out with them i feel left out alot and its just saddening. i like my new school alot, the education is better then the public school, but the friend situation isnt. i hvae friends but its like everyone there feels the same way. they all have friends from thier old schools and its juts not the same. ive known my friends from my old school since i was in elementry school.
so my dilemma here is that im going to have to decide whether i want to come back to my old school in a few months, and i really want to go back. but im afraid that if i go back i will regret it and i wont be able to go to the private school. im extremely confused so i dont really know what im asking, but basically based on my situation.. what would you do?
thank you so much. xox

if you miss your friends that much and think you will not feel much of a difference when you move back and that things will be the same, then do it
but
if stay you will definitly get used to it and get more comfotable, also you will find new ways to cope and stay friends with them
for example, i moved a lot, at first i was sad, but after a while in my new settings, i would realize there are things that i like in my new environment. i kept my old friends and made new ones. i talked to my old friends, IMed them and so on.
i really think you should stay because this is a great experiance and im sure later you will be glad you didnt leave.
but if you are that stumped, then i would suggest making a list of good things at your private school and at your old place. You might realize new things.
sorry its long, good luck! :) [ TheAnnie's advice column | Ask TheAnnie A Question ]
OhMyPEACHYKEEN answered Saturday January 5 2008, 12:10 pm: Its the same thing with my friend. She went to a public school thats like a private school for high school but she still misses her old friends that she knew from middle and elementary. I miss her soo much and want her to come back. I think you should definitely go back. If you had a lot of friends before and miss them enough then just go back and youll probably have a better high school experience with the people you've already known and will get to know better. if you stay at the private school eventually you'll just get used to not seeing your friends as much and it wont be such a bother. I dont think seeing your friends only on the weekends is good enough really, but that has to do with how close you are to them. Me and my friend arent as close any more but i expected that. I recommend that you go and shadow one of your friends. If you dont know what it is then its when you go to that school but notify the school first and let them know your interested in coming and pick a friend that you want to go to all their classes with. It looks really fun. You'll be able to compare that school with the private one. If you do that.. tell me how it goes. Good luck [ OhMyPEACHYKEEN's advice column | Ask OhMyPEACHYKEEN A Question ]
