I have been looking forward to superlatives in our yearbook this year, but also dreading it. I am very smart, pretty and some other stuff, but there is always someone who is going to be picked for being smarter and prettier. It really burns me up, because no matter how much I study and work on my make-up and hair, there is always someone better. I just want to be the best, in one thing at least. I am reasonably popular, so that is not the problem. How can I just be the best in something?

Settle for the facts that you try your hardest to be smart. (The most pretty thing, though, should not be that high of a pririty in life, so I'm not going to even go there.) As long as you gave it your all 24/7, that should be good enough for you. Who needs superlatives to tell you how hard you've worked? You knew that already, and people recognize that, even if they don't vote for you.

but, find out from other people what ure competitors are doing and do bigger&better things than them. thats all i can think of. then, the rests up to ure class. [ dearkaleighh's advice column | Ask dearkaleighh A Question ]
