i had sex for the first time about 2 weeks ago. at the time i was not on birth control, and he was wearing a condom, but it ended up breaking and he had his penis in me without a condom for about 5 minutes. the next day i immediately started taking birth control. the day after i started taking it i got my period, and it has been about 8 days and i still sort of have it on and off. i am worried because my period has always been normal, i usually get it for 5 days then it goes away so now im worried. could i be pregnant? is it because of the birth control? someone please fill me in

You are not pregnant if you have your period. As for the irregularity of your period it is more than likely a reaction to you just recently starting birth control. it should stop soon. But if it does not stop within another week, i would see a doctor, just to be safe.
