manhattan! woohoo!
how is manhattan part of new york? what is it? a city? or a street? A state? what? like is it like "los angeles" from California? so i guess its like "manhattan" from "new york" correct me if i am mistaken

Manhattan is not technically a city even though we native NY'ers call it "The City". Manhattan is a BOROUGH of NEW YORK CITY which consists of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens and The Bronx.
The only time it really counts as a "city" is when you mail something there. And its not Manhattan, New York...it's New York, New York.

manhattan is pretty much a city, but every one uses it in refrence to NY because its close by and idk, everyone just says it. So yeah, I guess your kinda right when you say its like "manhattan" from "NY"
