am i pregnant??

Question Posted Sunday December 23 2007, 4:45 pm

a few weeks ago, a nurse told me that if you get your period after you've had sex that it doesn't mean you aren't pregnant. she said it might just be spotting. can i get any confirmations on this? i did get my period, but i usually get really really bad cramps and this month i still have them, but not as bad as usual. and i had sex with this guy a few weeks ago, so...any ideas????

What is called a short, scant period is possible after conception. In other words, a short, light period.

Here are a couple of links on symptoms:

Well it's hard to tell, considering i don't know you so well! But i think you're just faking yourself out. I'm sure you were dwelling on it, and thought that it really doesn't hurt, but maybe it was just like the thought of it.

If you don't get what i mean i'll give you an example. Doctors test out pills by giving to types. One is a sugar pill and the other is an allergy pill. You tell both patients that they are allergy pills. Many who take the sugar pills tell the doctory they feel better because they thought they were really taking an allergy pill.

I feel like that is what you've done to yourself. Now i'm not positive! I would buy a pregnancy test, but those aren't always 100% right, but just check.

Don't dwell on it, and don't worry!
