my skin, what's wrong with it?

Question Posted Sunday December 23 2007, 4:08 am

okay, i'm not sure what's wrong with my skin.. because it's itchy, and it starts out as looking like goose bumps. and starts itching.. then gets worse.. now i have something that looks like a scab that itches.. but it's not really a scab.. i showed it to my mom, and she was basically scrapping it with her finger, and says that it has water in it.. and that it had "bubbles" and water was coming out.. it's starting to spread.. and i don't know what is it. my family has a dry skin problem.. and i just don't know.. help? what is it? what's wrong? and how can i cure it?

and my family doesn't have enough money to go to the doctors.. so help?

I can't tell you what it is, let alone how to cure it. I can, however toss some possible ideas your way.
Here is what a poison ivy rash looks like:

I'm not saying that is what you have, but poison ivy/oak can cause a rash similar to what you describe if you come into contact with the oils on the leaves.

Here is a link on symptoms:

And at-home treatment:

Poison ivy may not even be in season where you live. Even if it isn't, the treatments for it can't hurt to try.

How old are you? You may be covered. The condition may be serious enough that it could be covered by insurance to see a doctor, like a dermatologist.

Tell your parents to consult with your family doctor and find out if they're eligible for free or discounted medical service for your condition.
