Hi! Im in high school and i am thinking about having a job in child welfare. Can anyone tell me about this job like if you have a job in child welfare and explain it to me? and what degrees do you take so that you can get a job in such? I know its a low paying job but I really think it might be something i want to do and want to further explore this option. Thanks so much! :)

Social workers need to obtain a license or become professionally registered. You can start off with a Bachelor of Social Work degree, and most countries offer a post-graduate degree (master's or doctoral). This is for professional social workers. For lay practitioners or Care Workers you do not hold any professional standing or registration.
Social work with children is child/adolescent therapy. There are three levels of social work: micro (individual & family), mezzo (agency & small groups) and macro (societies, organizations & communitites).
