"Your face will feel puffy, especially the first day after surgery. Pain medication may be required. Your surgeon will advise you to avoid blowing your nose for seven days after surgery. In the immediate days following surgery, you may experience bruising and minor swelling in the eye area. Cold compresses often reduce the bruising and discomfort."

I've never had a nose job, but like Vera said, any surgery will cause pain of some degree. Those who say it don't either have a high pain tolerance or are pulling your leg.
If you are going because your nose is too big, they have to remove bone and cartilage. That will be painful for a few days, so they will give you pain medicine and methods to help with the pain and swelling, just as stated above.

During surgery you will feel no pain. Depending on what you decide with the surgeon, you will be put to sleep or the area will be numbed. Either way, they will probably numb the area.

If you want and/or need the surgery bad enough, the pain shouldn't matter. It will only be sore for a few days.

But like Vera said, be sure you are doing it for the right reasons. I tell you, I always thought I had a goofy looking nose, but it sure does look precious on my son's face. ;)

Ok, so, I do feel pain...and I know for a fact that my brother had to get something done on his nose (only cause he broke it so many and they had to go and re break it and stuff like that) Yeah, it hurts...any major surgery (that involves anesthesia, or any sleeping thing) will give you pain after surgery. But it depends...some people who have a high tolerence for pain might feel little pain or non at all, while others who feel pain very easy might feel like they were hit with a frying pan in the nose over and over and over etc etc.

Most surgery, you will have after math pain. How much though depends on the surgery...I had my gallbladder removed, and I was in pain for longer than a week...but that's because it was my stomach...

Anyway, I remember reading about a girl who got a nose job and she said that her nose was really swollen and it hurt really bad, and she ate pudding and things like that through a straw...but I can't remember everything it said, but I do remember it saying she was in pain. But she was glad she did it because her nose gave her problems, self esteem, and health issues with breathing and everything...

Hope I helped, and good luck. Remember...getting a nose job for wrong reasons, won't help you all the time...there will always be something wrong with something with your body. And some of your flaws, might be the thing that makes you beautiful.
