insult to portuguese? I want to get a tattoo that says "livre de drogas" or "livre de veneno" which is portuguese and it means drug free and poison free.
I'm not portuguese but I really like that language and i thought it would be prettier than just saying drug free because its going to be across a bird. a few people have told me i would be an insult to portuguese people because i'm not portuguese. I really don't think it will but I still was just wondering on someone elses opinion if you think it is?

i really dont think that it is insulting
its not offensive in anyway, in my opinion
and the words are not mean in anyway
good luck with the tattoo ]
I don't see how it can be insulting?
For all they know, the Portuguese language might mean something special to you. You're the one who has to live with the tattoo, so I'm sure you've thought it through 100% why you want Portuguese writing on you. Don't let people put you off. ]
Well, that's a good point, but I don't see how it is insulting. It's not like you're using offensive words.
I'd say it's fine because you know what the words mean. It would be very silly if you use words that you don't know at all. You might have heard of jokes about people who get tattoos of Chinese or Japanese characters in random combinations that don't make any sense or mean something silly. Since you're not doing something like that, it's fine. ]
