i was just wondering if there was a study saying how many callories you would burn if you were hot or cold. if there is, which would make you burn more?
missbananafontana answered Thursday December 20 2007, 3:24 pm: Well, when you're hot, you sweat more often, so you are losing water weight, but in cold weather, because the het generated by the body gets absorbed more in cold climate, hence more heat is generated and more calories are burnt. None is really permanent though. You can't like lose a substantial amount of weight sitting in the cold. So you do burn more calories in cold weather (I can't tell you how many since I would imagine it varies greatly.) I don't know if there's a study for it, but I would think maybe since studies are often done just to prove something we already know. : ) [ missbananafontana's advice column | Ask missbananafontana A Question ]
