When it asks you whether you want to sync, click cancel that and you still will be able to see your iPod on the screen. Tell iTunes that you want to manually manage your music and then move the songs by dragging and dropping them into your iPod (alternative to syncing the music onto it). When you want to get songs off your iPod and onto your iTunes, use a program such as iGadget or Anapod Manager to transfer them. Here's a link for a program that will help you get the songs onto your iTunes from the iPod: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) ]
It's not possible. As soon as you plug it to the new computer it will delete all the songs. ]
