hi iam a 24 mum of two who has been struggling to find any easy answers i am still in love with my first love who is in another state, but i have children to another man do i stay for my kids or do i follow my heart and go home?

If you mean taking your children with you, then if you feel that you would be happier with your first love, then follow your heart. If you try to stay with someone you don't love for the sake of not splitting up a family, however noble that may sound, it will make you and subsequently everyone else, miserable. That is not a good atmosphere in which to bring up a family.
You do however, need to ensure you have thought long and hard about what you are intending to do. It is not a decision to take lightly as there is little chance of going back if you find you have made a mistake. Just be sure that it isn't a case of the grass being greener with your first love.
