aboslutly not! I got to beauty school and we are one place that accepts donations to locks of love and wigs for kids. They really do make wigs for cancer patients. It is a great program and i am trying to grow my hair to donate.

No, it is not a scam. My son-in-law grows his hair out just for this group. :)

I guess everyone has their own opinion..

But I just read these interesting facts:

* Locks of Love receives more hair that they actually use to make wigs for cancer patients.
*
* Locks of Love SELLS the surplus hair for CASH! How much are they selling the hair for? In 2005, they sold $352,401 of hair!

Most of the hair donated does not end up on a child's head. It ends up being sold to commercial wigmakers.
