I was thirteen when I got mine pierced. Explain to them it's not such a bad thing. In fact, it's a tasteful piercing. Don't bug them. I bugged my parents forever before they finally caved in. Just accept their answer, and tell them you think it would be a nice birthday gift in about a year =]

I was 13 when I got my first one done. So coming from someone that has had it done that young, just tell them you will take very good care of it. If they still say no. Say well can I get it done for my birthday? Thats why I got mine. Im sure they will let you for your birthday.. I hope I helped! && remember if you do get it done, dont clean it to much. Three times a day & dont touch it. =D

I believe that it would be better for you to accept their decision for another year. I agree with them that you are a little too young at the moment.

The reason I suggest waiting without complaining is this:

If you agree to wait but suggest talking it through next year, they may feel that you are being sensible now and could well change their minds next year. I know that 365 days sounds a very long time but it will soon pass. If you accept what they say now without protest, you will have a better chance when you are older of changing their minds about something far more important should you need them to. Good luck.
