Okay, please don't judge me for this or laugh, because I am totally serious. I am absorbed in the CW's new show "Gossip Girl". All I think about in my spare time is how when I go to high school (elite, private school) how much I want to be like the girls from Gossip Girl. I know this sounds really stupid, but I am obsessed with this. I know they do things like drink and have sex, which I KNOW is bad, but I feel like I just can't wait for their life. What's wrong with me? And please, haters, go away and scream at yourself for being stupid, but I don't want to hear it.

Trust me, there's nothing wrong with you at all. I'm 14/f and I love Gossip Girl (although I havn't seen the show as I live in the uk, i read the books). And I know their life seems appealing.
Just remember that it is fiction, and when you get to high school, it's not going to be exactly like Gossip Girl.
Although I'm not TELLING you to drink or have sex, if you do everything safely (ie. don't drink too much, and don't drink all the time, have sex when you're ready and use contraception) it's really not that bad.
There are probably some article's on www.wikihow.com about this if you search Gossip Girl.
But yeah, there's nothing wrong with you and you don't have to worry about this, just try not to get too obbsessed and remember that it's fiction.

nothing is wrong with you, you most likely just want your life to be exciting like theirs. not nessasaraly having sex and stuff. But always having something to do. Maybe you should do more things and keep yourself busy. Take risks,have fun,do what ya do. =].... i hope this helped

Okay, there is nothing wrong with you. So you can relax =). Okay, so I completely understand that you want the life of those girls on the t.v show, but you have to understand something. T.v is for your entertainment.it's not exactly real. Thing is, when I was your age, I actually thought the same way. There is so many movies and shows out there that are about high school. So far, I haven't come across one that is EXACTLY like high school. High school is a great place. But, you have to be smart. If you choose to really live like the "gossip girls" then that's your choice, but you are still really young, and you really need to consider the consequences. I don't want to sound like your mother or anything but trust me - even though im still in high school and i've seen my fair share of 'bad' decision making - you really have to watch what you do. Because as you get older - you'll see how much more your decisions have an affect on you. I'm just saying, be careful what you wish for. So, when you head to high school - promise me you won't jump into the 'gossip girl' life right away. Give yourself a little while to absorb what high school is like - hey, you might figure out a different kind of life you want. Just don't rush into things. BUT if you do go to high school and you still crave the 'gossip girl' life - then i guess no one can really stop you because it is your life. just remember to be smart! If you choose to drink -have plans (including back up plans - ways to get home..make sure they are safe), drink responsibly, and if you choose to have sex - have safe sex. Use protection - you've probably heard that a lot. Especially from teachers and maybe your parents...but seriously..you are WAY too young to have to deal with being a parent. I had a friend who though "oh- won't happen to me...whatever" ...turns out she got pregant. She died, eh? She was too young. I'm not trying to scare you or anything..but you deserve the truth! I know this is probably WAY more stuff than you were expecting, but I'm just telling you what i think. So out of all that... im gunna sum it up in a few sentences. *
Don't worry about being obsessed with the t.v show. It's normal..nothing wrong with you at all. I've had my fair share of obsessions over t.v shows :P
and also - if you wanna be like the gossip girls - that's your choice...but you are young.. so don't stress about it! relax..enjoy being a teenager! it's a crazy/fun/horrible/amazing experience.
And remember: don't jump right into the gossip girl life. and be smart!!!
