Windows Live Messenger 8.1 (Beta [8.5])

My MSN does not show my contacts' display names, but instead shows their emails.

I know "go to options and sort by display name"

But i've already done that / clicked that, and it still hasn't changed anything.

When i add someone, their display name does appaear for about 20 seconds, but then changes to their email.

How can i fix this?

Get the latest version, and then go to menu, contacts, view contacts by, display name.
