Immanuel = Jesus

How come in the bible an angel comes to josef and tells him that mary will be giving birth to a son called Immanuel - but then he ended up being named Jesus?

Immanuel means "God with us". The angel was saying that the child was the promised messiah; God in the flesh.

its Emmanuel, and they are the same... jesus is emanuel! i dont know how to explain it, but thats all i know!
