I have basketball tryouts in 9 days. what should i train in? ive done basketball most of my life (summer camps, rec, travel.. since i was 8) and im kinda good at far away shots I guess but as suprising as it is, im bad at lay ups and close shots. how can i get better? im not the best player but i have lots of determination and im not afraid to get agressive, which i guess has helped me since i don't have the best like, skills I think. i'm trying out for the A team since im in 8th grade and i cant make the B team since the B team is only 7th graders while the 7th graders can also make the A team. i didnt try out when i was in 7th cause i wanted to be in a diff club at the same time. i'll do that if i dont make bball but i really want to focus on making the team now. i guess i slacked off and i eat halloween candy regularly but how can i get off that habit for like a full chance to get in shape? i havent really been doing any sports (well gym doesnt count in school) since summer so i guess im kinda outta shape. what can i do to help me get better at bball in well.. 9 days? like what skills should i focus on and HOW should I? cause we dont have a bball court or hoop at my house so i practice in school in gym sometimes. or should i just run outside? so thanks for helping, it means A LOT to me and well i'll keep ya posted if i make the team too! :)))))
P.S. there are like 19 8th graders trying out and about 20-something 7th graders trying out. and like 22 people are on each team I believe.. something like that. -nervous-
