My friend is in the ICU with a ruptured aneurysm, please hel My friend has survived a ruptured brain aneurysm before when she was younger. Yesterday she was supposed to come over but I kept calling her and she never picked up. Her sister left me a voice message today to call her. When I called her sister picked up. She told me that my friend had passed out so they took her to the hospital and they preformed surgery on her. She can't breathe on her own right now, she is unconscious. I think she said she was on life support and she said she is probably going to die.
Does anyone have any experience and know if she can live through this?

I don't have experience but I know a couple people who endured through this.
Well sometimes aneurysms can get better, but it depends how early they caught the aneurysm. I wouldn't lose hope on it yet because some aneurysm patients can get better but like I said it does depend greatly on how early it was caught.
The disadvantage is the more ruptured aneurysms you get, the less likely for survivial. And being unconscious doesn't mean an expected death. Things can get better, but it also depends on her state of health. Does she have any blood-related problems or diabetes? Because that can affect the outcome as well. So if you'd like (if possible) you can give me more information about her state of health and her diagnosis of aneurysm to be more specific and beneficial on the question. =]
I wish her the best of luck, though.
Well from the additional information, it seems that she will be ok. It's good they caught it when she suddenly passed out. From all you told me, there's a good chance she'll get better. But keep me posted =] ]
I don't have an answer for you when it comes to the medical side of things. There are always miracles and maybe she will become conscious again. I am not sure if you are religious (I am not very religious) but when it comes to stuff like this, all you can do is pray. I hope she comes out of the state she is in. I think that you should tell your friend how you feel about her though. Because heaven forbid she were to pass away, you want to make sure you told her how you felt. I hope I have helped you in some way, even though I was not able to give you medical advice. :) ]
