I really need answers on these please:
If all dimensions of a house were doubled, its FLOOR AREA would go up by a factor of:
2 3 4 8 or 16?
If all dimensions of a house were doubled, its VOLUME would go up by a factor of:
3 8 6 4 or 2?

to find the area of something you do LxW
ok, so we'll pretend.
we'll make.
L= 6'
W=12'
6x12=72'
now, lest double it.
L=12'
W=24'
12x24=288'
288/72=4
so it went up by a factor of 4.
so, to find the volume of something it is LxWxH
ok, so we'll pretend again, haha.
L= 6'
W=12'
and H=20'
6x12x20=1440'
now lets double it.
L=12'
W=24'
and H=40'
12x24x40=11520
11520/1440 = 8
so it goes up by teh factor of 8.
if you're having trouble understand it, right it
out, all of it. it'll help..a lot.
