whats a personal statement? isnt it just like an essay

does anyone else get a billion emails from schools telling you to apply to their college like one college said if i apply right then and there i wont have to pay the app fee or something haah? im nto sure if theyre serious too. i am sad taht they would send me emails and if i apply there i will get rejected. thats so maen..

also

whats a personal statement? isnt it just like an essay... this college emailed me saying its an informal, brief essay. wtf?

it depends. some colleges just want you to apply so they try to scam you into it by bribes. it may be true though, im not exactly sure. but either way, you should apply to the college you want to go to, not them. they teach billions of kids and get billions of money for it. its YOUR education. not theres. so best of luck to you!
