Exercise a lot, like building a lot of lean muscle at the gym, etc. Eat lots of protein, fiber and vitamins in dark greens and meat. Eat carbs before working out and practice for long-term energy. And don't eat the obvious stuff, like Twinkies and Ding-Dongs, but also foods with a lot of sugar. Only eat energy or power bars like before a game or something physical where you don't have a lot of time to eat; eating them other times will leave you wanting more to eat and overeating because of its high calorie content.
