my moms ipod is all screwed up if u dont wanna play a song so u skip iti t keeps skipping every song . its not on the setting like shffle or repeat or anything. its just annoying. any ideas why it isnt working.

Yes it is probably screwed up. I nor most other people will be able to tell what's wrong with it with this short symptom. It's like telling a doctor via e-mail that you have a sore throat and want him to tell you whether you have a cold, strep throat, or need to have your tonsils removed. Sorry. I suggest bringing it to Best Buy to have a proper diagnosis. Sorry if this isn't the answer you wanted to hear, but it's true.

I would reset it.
Hold down the middle button [the one you click to select stuff] It will delete everything off your iPod, just plug it back into iTunes and let it all upload and try again. If that doesn't work take it to your local Apple Store and explain the problem in full details, bring the iPod and show them the problem. They should replace it, but it's not going to be one of the new iPods, it will be the same iPod model.
