It helps if you have the right blush brush, because if its not right it won't give the right effect you're trying to achieve. There are also many many different ways to apply blush to give different looks or show off certain key features of your face-even to give the illusion of a jawline or cheekbones though their not prominant features.
The most common way is to dust the apples of your cheeks. Smile and apply what compliments you and adds a healthy glow.

First of all you need to get the right color... Most likely the color of your skins' natural glow. NOT hot pink or some clown color like that. more of a bronzier shade. and DO NOT use the brush provided [if there is one]. go to the store and buy a blush/powder brush. they are fuller and bigger brushes. Este Lauder has AMAZING powder brushes. Once you are ready to put blush on, SMILE! when you smile it makes part of your cheeks get fuller [the apple of your cheek] this full part of your cheek is what you put blush on, then you continue to the hairline. if you want a less dramatic look, blend your blush into your cheeks. but dont put it on your WHOLE cheek.
