Why do men that tell you they love you and are there for you

Question Posted Wednesday October 24 2007, 2:35 pm

I have been in a 4 year relationship, we are the best when everything is going good and just recently my significant other was there helping me out financialy and also there for me for anything and then a week later said he needed space then didn't want to be together at all. I know for sure there is no other girl and I see him most of the time, due to us having mutual friends since day one. Our friends tell him that we should be together and that they also try getting us back together because they all say that they believe we are meant for one and another, but he doesn't want to. He hasn't communicated with me about picking up his things nor when I run into him at a friends house he would ignore me. So what does this mean? All this put together is confusing and I want to know why he left so sudden after showing that he cares by being there. Why all of the sudden change in heart? He said he needed space then weighed out the pros & cons then done just like that, but why so sudden?

well, maybe he needs to know that you care about him a lot. tell him straight to his face, look in his eyes, ask him what's going on between you two.
he might be going through some PMS (pissy male syndrome) crap and will get over it soon, but try not to let it bug you too much.

either that or maybe you've just gotten a little too close lately. sometimes too much of something/someone can get on the nerves, whether you want it to or not. give him a little cool down time, then talk to him and be serious. let him know that you're not gonna stop bugging him until he answers you.
