wi fi on pc (not a labtop the big ones)

my labtop has wif fi but very weak signal. how do i get my own hot spot at my house? what do i need and what to i need to do? i also want to pick up wi fi on my pc, what to i need for that?

Buy a wireless router and hook it up to your internet connection. It uses your existing internet connection, so after you buy the router there is no additional expense, though you have to continue paying for your internet access. I recommend this model:

Make sure you set up encryption with a password on your router. If you don't, everyone who uses your wifi can see everything you do online; including sensitive information like credit card numbers you enter into forms.
