Okay. So if you have a final exam worth 100 points, and you get 50% on it, (fail it) how much % will your grade drop??

It does depend on your current grade, but most of the time it drops between 10-20%.

well, that depends on what your grade was in the first place. and it also depends a lot on what percent the test even counts for your grade. at some schools it's different. for example, at my school, the semester exam counts for like 20% of the semester. the best thing to do is ask your teacher, and just be like, "can you see how much my grade would drop if i got a 50 on the test?" and they should show you unless they're just mean.
