i started the pill (othro tricyclen lo) and ever since i started (this is my 2nd pack) i've been really dry down there. is this normal? and what can i do to fix it?
BerryWine answered Saturday October 20 2007, 4:09 pm: Yes it is normal to have vaginal dryness when you are on the pill. I have been on the pill for years and have experienced this myself on occasion and it is very simple to fix. Contact the doctor that wrote the prescription for you and they will be happy to recommend a product that you can use to fix this. Normally it is just an over the counter cream, but if it is a severe problem you may need something that can only be prescribed. If you are sexually active be sure to use plenty of water based lubricant to avoid any scraping or tearing. [ BerryWine's advice column | Ask BerryWine A Question ]

sudden numbness or weakness, especially on one side of the body;
sudden headache, confusion, pain behind the eyes, problems with vision, speech, or balance;
chest pain or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating, general ill feeling;
a change in the pattern or severity of migraine headaches;
nausea, stomach pain, low fever, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes);
swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet; or
symptoms of depression (sleep problems, weakness, mood changes).
Continue using the medication and talk to your doctor if you have any of these less serious side effects:
mild nausea, vomiting, bloating, stomach cramps;
breast pain, tenderness, or swelling;
freckles or darkening of facial skin;
increased hair growth, loss of scalp hair;
changes in weight or appetite;
problems with contact lenses;
vaginal itching or discharge;
changes in your menstrual periods; or
headache, nervousness, dizziness, tired feeling.
There are also other syptoms not listed so you should definitly talk to your doctor
