I was just wondering if you have had braces before??
Hey, I know I just asked you a ? but, If I need to ask you any more ?'s would you mind me asking you. You seem to know what you are talking about, and I would assume that you have had braces before. But thanks for answering my retainer ?, it was very helpful. I have another ? for you, how long do you have to wear your retainer when you first get it? If you had braces before did you have the regular metal retainer or the clear retainer?

Anyway;
It depends really. I originally had to wear mine day and night for about 6 months (with the exception of taking them out when necessary) and after that, I was told to wear them just on the night for about a year.
I strongly advise you to wear them as your ortho instructs. I didn't, and I never wore my bottom one.. So it was a waste of time me even having braces.
I have the regular metal ones. But I assume that varies according to your teeth/orthodontist.
