How many retainers do you get when you get your braces off??

Question Posted Friday October 12 2007, 5:31 pm

Hey, I just read your advice and wanted to ask you how many retainers do you get when you get your braces off? I know you get one for the top and one for the bottom. But I thought there was an extra one for some reason. I really need some advice. The orthodontist said that I was doing really well with my rubber bands, and now he said I only have to wear them at night, but he also said that I am down to 3 months left of braces, but he said if I keep this up it might be sooner.

If you have any advice for me please answer me back!! :)

McKayla

If you have braces on your top and bottom teeth, you'll get retainers for top and bottom too.
I've never known of anyone having more than 2 at a time though. :)
