what is a youth large and adult small? is there really a differnce?

there are about the same (at abercrombie the exact same basically) but most youth larges are made with a shorter/wider cut than adult smalls.

A adult small will probably be a little longer, and wider in the shoulders, but it all depends on the shirt. There probably isn't much of a difference (:
