my boyfriend just broke up with me yesterday and he said it was because he didnt love me n well he said he didnt feel the same way around me ( lately ive been really bitchy and depressed these past months) and then he was like but i still like you and want to talk to you and be friends and i still care about you and all that stuff you do when you love someone, but weve been together forever how can you just stop loving someone? i dont think that is possible, we had so much together i think hes just confused and and we just need time apart but how do i convince him to make this a break and not for good?... that night he called and we talked for like 2 hours about crazy shit like we used to and it was really nice and he was like can i ask you something? and i said sure so he asked if i was still going to the gyno(bc we were sexually active and we wanted birth control) and i was like um yeah and it just popped out and i said are you still going with me? and then i said WAIT no i dont want you to and i dont care but he was like i want to, i want to be there for you and im so confused and let me add that weve broken up three different times and each time it was bc things got akward then when we broke up we got really close and went back out and then it was better each time do you think that could happen again? please help me i need him i really do.

Saying as how he told you that he wants to be friends and that he still likes you was defiantly the responsible thing to do.
I understand that you're hurt that you broke up and that you want it to just be a break. Saying that he still wants to go with you to get birth control stil shows that he cares. Whether he admits it or not, that's a sign of love.
Guys can be really really confusing. I can clearly see that your realationship with him means alot and that you really want it to work for you two. The only surefire advice I can give you is to ask him about his feelings. Get him to tell you why he thinks he doens't love you anymore and why he wants to end what you've got. When you know why he feels that way, then you can work on solving it. Work on getting him back to loving you. That's the best thing you can do. To fix a realtionaship as a whole, you need to fix each person in it.
