cell phones

Question Posted Sunday October 7 2007, 9:12 pm

I am getting a new cell phone and this time I woul dlike to know something beforehand. I have seen these:

Samsung SCH-a870

UTStarcom 8915
LG 245

As long as I can download ringtones, text, and it has the vibrating alert I will be happy. I am rough on phones so what would be the best one to go with?

Also another question I have is is there anyother way I can get ringtones without paying the extra 20 dollars a month?

make sure you don't get a very thin "sleek" phone because those break easily (i have one)

get a chunky phone, it will hold up better.

i would chose the third one, but it really all depends on what you like.

also for free ringtones go to phonezoo.com i swear there is no hidden fees and i have been using it forever its great!

hope i helped!

Typically, a slightly thicker phone is more durable. When you go to buy the phone, ask the salesperson which one is more durable, they can tell you. Most, if not all, phones have texting and vibrating capabilites nowadays, and you can easily find out if these phones do by testing the display model. Dropping them on the floor to test durabiity is a poor choice, however. Consider getting the insurance if you have a tendency to break phones.

As for free ringtones (that work & won't ruin your phone, etc):
