Shortening a dress
Is it possible to shorten a dress made of polyester with a flowy hem line? I need it shortened by Saturday! Is this even possible with this type of dress?

yes, but it is kind of a slim chance that it can be done by saturday unless you find an awesome tailor.
EDIT: i just thought of something after i answered that. okay, if you can't get it shortened by saturday, it will still look fine if you wear it with tall shoes. it depends on how much it needs to be shortened though. if it's like an inch or two then tall shoes should do the trick.

Yeah, it's possible. Take it to a tailor & they can do it for you by then.

I'd expect so, yes. I've had to shorten even the most stubborn styled dresses etc in textiles.
If you can't do it yourself, you should get someone with experience, just to be on the safe side.
