I haven't had my period for 2 months. I just started July 1st and I know its not going to be regular, but 2 MONTHS! My mom said that I for SURE did start my period, but now I'm doubting. Gross, but I'm goin to tell you: it was in clumps and was almost black, very dark, not like what I thought it would be. I used a tampon because I was going to a lake and was fine, I had a yeast infection just about 2-3 days before I started too. I don't want it to just hop in at school, during class, or at someones house or something. What are some warning signs I might have? Please help!
FrEe2bMe answered Thursday October 4 2007, 10:31 pm: It is common for you to have an irregular period for up to 3-4 years of starting your period. So, I don't think you should majorly worry. As long as you have at least one period every 4 months, you're okay. Any longer than that, then you need to see a doctor so they can help you out. There is a pill you can take to force your period to come out if need be--but some doctors are hesitant to perscribe it. Also, when you get your period again, don't wear a tampon again. The first 3 periods you have you should stick to pads. One other thing, don't wear tampons if you have any kind of vaginal/yeast etc. infection because that can make it worse. In the mean time, try just wearing a pantiline or thong liner to school to be on the safe side. :) [ FrEe2bMe's advice column | Ask FrEe2bMe A Question ]
