I tended to striaghten my hair a lot tho, and from what it sounds we both have a lot of hair and i know 2-2 1/2 hours of striaghtening is hard! Try scrunching your hair. Thats when you get right out of the shower... dont completely dry it, but enough that itys not dripping, and take any type of moose product and pull it through your hair then scrunch your hair in your hands with more moose. Then you can go through with a little hair wax which really helps with frizz. You can spray it too.. but tis not always nessisary.
I liked to wear it with a small clip, pulling the front back or a head band, usualy looks cute!
Hope this helps! [ bemyshoulder2crion's advice column | Ask bemyshoulder2crion A Question ]

My hair is just like yours. When I tie it in a ponytail, I can only get the hair tie to wrap around it twice, I have that much hair.
I don't style it with irons, because to do so takes a couple hours. I don't have that kind of time to spend on my hair, either.
BUT. If you got short layers (keeping your length, of course) your hair won't look like there is so much there.
My hair has a natural wave to it. It looked frizzy until I had short layers cut.
See, I just have so much hair on my head, that it was actually poofy, causing it to appear frizzy.
That is why all the controlling products didn't do a lick of good for me.
Bonus about these layers? My hair actually has a little more curl to it in the shorter layers. Extremely thick hair means extremely heavy hair- it weighs out your natural curl.
Now doing my hair is a snap. I towel dry, comb, add mousse, scrunch it a bit with my hands, and.... go. That's it. Done. 5 minutes or less. My hair looks good, healthy, and has enough curl to make it look like I actually put blood, sweat and tears into the job. ;D
Like I said, I don't know if that is what you are looking for, but that is what I had to do with mine in order to be able to do something with it, so thought I would at least tell you about it. :)
Courtney answered Tuesday October 2 2007, 11:40 am: Most girls with your hair type that's very hard to control because of frizz and/or bushyness (since it can be both) look absolutely beautiful when they try ringlets with their hair. The most beautiful things about these ringlets are that they can be spiraling down very tightly or they can be done very loosely. They look very cute and they make you look younger, assentuating your face and hair texture. The best thing about it is that it doesn't make you look ridiculous because the style is made for people with hard to control hair. So, if you want, try the tight/loose ringlets or spiraling curls (since they're the same). That's if you find them to your liking. Hope I was some help. Bye.
