not sure to get a mouse or hamster
im getting either a dwarf hamster or a fancy mouse. their both the same size about 2 in long. i kind of want a mouse more but my mom says a hamster would be better. she says mice are gross but are they still gross if i give it baths? which would make a better pet? which is less messier? which would chew stuff up less? which is more playful? i would give it alot of attention. ive been lookin for sites but im havin lotsa trouble im not sure which to get?! if anyone knows about them or has one help me please.

It sounds to me like you want a mouse. Talk to your mom again. Maybe she'll change her mind. Don't fight it though. If she's really against it, go for the hampster.

I had a dwarf hamster and he was SO CUTE.
HE was very friendly, and was easy to take care of and handle. I have never had a mouse, but personally i think the dwarf hamster is a better pet and friendlier. As for chewing things up, just put a toilet paper or paper towel tube in the cage. It can play in it and chew it up.
