Question Posted Thursday September 27 2007, 4:36 pm
So I'm 15 and my teeth are really messed up. People always make big fun of my teeth. They always tell me I really need braces. But I really can't get braces or I don't know how. I've tried getting them before and its useless. I just want them so I can smile and not have people staring at my jacked up teeth. When I was little I didn't pull my teeth and they started growing on top of the baby teeth. Now they're stuck like that. It's really sad. I cry every time someone tells me that I need to get my teeth fixed. What should I do? Do you have any advice?

In the meantime, don't listen to the people making fun of you; it isn't worth it for you to get upset. [ scootermclisle's advice column | Ask scootermclisle A Question ]

But its like this, if ppl really have to make fun of you to make theirselves happy, they are just useless. People use to make fun of mine all the time, but now since we're all 16 or 17, ppl have grown up. Dont be scared to smile, trust me I know how you feel. You wanna cry when you see your friends with perfect teeth, and know your more then likely the only one with teeth like that, dont worry, Im right there with you. My family cant really afford it right now, but my mom found a dentist that works well with our insurance, and the insurance is paying for almost everything. My mom has bad memory and I would have to put a reminder on the computer for her to call. So try doing that and just leave it there. Put something like "call the dentist, I wanna beautiful" thats what I put and she called. I wish you the best of luck. And if you need anything else, just ask<33 [ hollister_lover09's advice column | Ask hollister_lover09 A Question ]
