Question Posted Wednesday September 26 2007, 12:28 am
I got the new ipod nano for my birthday. It has been working really well except for I want music off my other ipod (that isn't in my files or library) onto my newer one. It won't let me drag it on!! It is agrivating me VERY much. This music I got from my sister's itunes. And I don't know how to put an album cover on if it doesn't come with out...please tell me how =P. And how to do delete photos you add onto your ipod??
Thanks in advance!!

If your nano is the new (really short generation) I can only hope that apple hasn't created a hurdle that what I will suggest can't handle;
Apple got flack from the music industry, and subsequently disallowed (though the use of software, hiding files, and muddling the names) the copying of music that the owner of an ipod didn't already have in the library of their computer. The only way to get around this is to use a program designed to rip the music back. iPod Rip is ok, and has some free trial uses. BTW I should mention "stealing music is a criminal activity", just to cover myself :)
As for cover art, there are programs that will let you automatically search and add it, or you can just get a JPG of the cover art, and drag it onto a particular spot where it says "drag cover art here" or something similar, in itunes.
Photos you've added to your ipod manually for viewing can be deleted using itunes. There's a special sub-menu of your ipod within itunes which handles them.
To delete photos, you'll have to remove the folder containing the photos you no longer want on your iPod from the list on iTunes, and then sync your iPod.
To add an album cover, if you have an iTunes account, open iTunes and use Advanced > Get Album Artwork. If you don't, find an image of the album cover you want, save it to your computer, look for the appropriate track in iTunes, right-click its name, choose "Get Info", go to the "Artwork" tab, click the "Add" button, and choose the image you want.
