now for the opinion of a man. im happily married, but it did take a while, and a lot of failed relationships to find my wife. first off, you have to look at the guys personality. does it mesh with yours? can you talk to them easily, and have a great time with them? at young ages guys and girls alike are both still very shy. so try to losen up the guy. if you really really like someone, do not be afraid to take initiative. for young people that is the main thing. 99% of the time they are feeling the same way you are. i never became confident with girls until i was about 17, and i've never had problems after that. as a young lady, you might want to consider going for the more mature boy. age doesn't always mean maturity. and the whole smelling thing? perfume is the best thing ever. my wife won me from the second i met her, and the smell defin attracts boy like crazyyyyyy.

I personally wouldn't go out with someone younger than me. Guys tend to lean toward girls that keep them guessing, and loudness and rudeness etc. wouldn't impress me and I am sure it wouldn't impress him. Be outgoing, and don't be outspoken (e.g. telling the truth to someone when a lie is nicer. ex. telling someone their green fedora looks nice.) Don't be too subtle, and not too head-on either. Guys like girls who are a little shy, because it makes them feel more comfortable (guys get shy too!). Don't assume he thinks your'e a loser. With that pessimistic attitude, I'd think you were a loser too. Never be a mean girl. Be nice to your friends and courteous to your enemies. As for the "never had a boyfriend", does he really know whether you have or not? You don't need to tell. Good Luck! (Tip: always smell nice; my boyfriend always seems to sniff me when we hug. you never know who's gonna smell you next. : )
