Indians
i was having a convo with my mate the other day about contenants and all races of the world.theres caucasians black people and asians .i know that indians live in asia but would you call there race asian as appose to where they live.in other words,if an indian person was born in america or somewhere what would you call them in reference to there appearance?

American Indians are usually classified as Native Americans. Though all are American Indians they may be from many different tribes.
Since I am really not sure what you are asking and
don't want to leave you hanging, I have included
a page from the census bureau on how to enter your race. It may help answer some of your questions.

If you're born in America, you're American. If you're born in China, you're Chinese. If you're born in India, you're Indian. It's based on the country they were born in, not the continenant.
However, you could also be politically correct and call them Asian. For example, I was born in the UK, so I could be British, Welsh or European.
