so lately, i've been really depressed and gained a lot of weight from over-eating.
i need to stop. and today ist he first day i decided i wn't binge.
i just need some tips on how to stay away from the food.
i'm trying to loose 20lbs. i've gained 10lbs since school started.
oh, btw my weight is 148lbs, 5'5 and i'm 16.
I'm not saying to stop eating completely, but that could help you to stop binge-eating. It's a really dangerous & unhealthy habit, and it can get the best of us. I'd know because I also have it. Whenever I get depressed, food just seems to comfort me, and it makes me gain weight like crazy. I'm not able to eat whatever I want anymore.
I usually just keep active throughout the day doing physical activities such as walking or running so that I can lose weight & stop thinking about things that'll put my weight back on. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]

Also drinking a lot of water can help. The carbonation in soda makes your stomach(the organ, not the fat) get bigger and makes it harder to feel full. I guess juice can work too, but of course it would need to be low carb/calorie
I also know people who stopped drinking pop for the most part and they lost 10 or so pounds. Its really not good for you :P ...not that I have room to speak.
Drinking things is also a good way to distract yourself from food. Its not necessarily the need to EAT, its the need to taste something. Gum works too.
Hmm....
Exercise works. Not only to get toned but working out makes you not-hungry. I use to know the reason for it...but I'm can't really remember anymore.
I lost 20 pounds in like 10 days once...All that happened was that we didn't have a lot of food around the house and I didn't have anything to snack on. The weight went away just like that.
So don't get discouraged.
You're also not overweight according to your BMI :) (body mass index) so don't worry about it too much. You're on the higher side of average :O LIKE ME! Woohoo. Highfive :3 [ spookykiwi's advice column | Ask spookykiwi A Question ]
