I know what you are talking about, i do that alot too and i don't know how to stop it. It's one thing that you may or may not grow out of. It's a scary thing untill it really happens, i day dream like that all the time untill one day my cousin died, then the day dream i knew was real and you can't control it unlike your day dreams. Maybe you should try to practice day dreaming of good things. When i start to daydream i concentrate really hard and i turn them to a good day dream. Try this and you will see!

Ok, well what you should do is keep in mind that your daydreams of terrible movie disasters and what not should cause you no worry over your loved ones.

Daydreams are far from reality. You know that.
Look at it as your mind's way of preparing you for the worst, in a fashion. There is nothing wrong with that, though I do understand it can be disturbing to have those sorts of thoughts.

Like I said, you know it isn't reality, so don't let it worry you too much. There is no sense in upsetting yourself over your mind making up scenarios.

I think these are anxiety thoughts. Maybe you are afraid of loosing them.
First you have to accept that we all die a little bit each day. By getting older! We are not immortal. I think if you begin to accept that sooner or later we all are going to die, these anxiety thoughts are brought on by fear of loss. If you accept death these thoughts may not happen to you anymore. If they do just repeat death is a normal part of life it happens all the time. Since you create little story lines maybe you can write them about fictional characters. Any way to get the thoughts out of your head can help.
