usually now a days they only make you wear it at night.
you may not have to wear it depending on what your teeth look like, there are rubber bands that you may have to wear during the day or only at night, yet again it depends. but i mean when i had braces i was "supposed" to wear headgear, but i never did not even at night and i was supposed to wear rubber bands, but i never did, i just had to have to braces on longer.

hope this helps.

that is extraordinarily rare to have to wear it any time other than night. i mean, you would have to get hit by a train and have teeth sticking out of the top of your head before you would have to wear it during the day. also, you might not even have to wear headgear. i didn't for a long time. actually, i had braces twice, and i only had to wear it the first time i had braces. after that i had rubber bands (which, also, only at night). basically the only thing you will have to wear during the day is your actual braces. don't worry, you won't have to wear anything weird at school :) you might not even have to wear anything weird at home, depending on your overbite/underbite situation. i hope i helped :)

I don't think I ever heard of head gear during the day, that's just stupid.

Head gear are for people with an over bite, if it's even a line over a certain number say, 5cm, then you have to wear one.

I had to wear it once. ONLY for at home and while you're sleeping.

If you wore it during school that would be so bad and if you play sports with it on you'd have one painful face right now.

If you got anymore questions feel free to ask =] Hope this helped!

I cant answer from personal experience, but my cousin had head gear.
She only wore it at night, not to school
The best person to ask is your orthodontist, and you can tell him you dont want to wear it during the day. He probably wont make you.
